I was attracted to inspHire because the job offered the opportunity to work with a variety of customers from different industries, which seemed quite daunting at first but once I got stuck in, was actually quite exciting and rewarding. The Apprenticeship Scheme I was on consisted of working on the Support Helpdesk, I was given an in-depth training programme, which included several training sessions on the core inspHire products and also Microsoft SQL Server and Crystal Reports. The scheme gave me first-hand experience of being on a first-line Support Helpdesk which allowed me to develop professional customer service and communication skills.
After being on Helpdesk I was then given the opportunity to move positions to the Implementation Support team, helping new customers get up and running with the software and assisting project managers with their workload. This has also allowed me to learn many transferrable skills; how to work well in a team, time management and prioritising workloads.
inspHire is an enjoyable place to work because of the wide variety of work you are challenged with; no two days are the same. The people you work with on a daily basis are great, you can have a laugh and work well with one-another. Everyone wants to help each other as everyone’s in the same boat, so I never felt like I was by myself.
My long-term goals at inspHire are to carry on developing my knowledge, this will allow me to improve the quality of work for customers and also reduce the time it takes to solve customer issues, which will provide the customer with a better experience.
The inspHire Apprenticeship Scheme has given me a platform to develop myself and kick-start a career in the IT industry. Not only have I gained hands on experience, I’ve been able to gain qualifications such as; CompTIA, Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
